MADE BY HAND – NATURAL AND UNIQUE
This product has been made by the hands of skilled artisans and may vary slightly in weight, colour and shape. We believe this adds to each items’ unique character and value.
ORGANIC MATERIALS
Products may fade when placed in sun-exposed areas. With a little care, we suggest the following methods to prolong the life of your natural products and restore them to their original beauty.
TAKE CARE
With a little bit of love from time to time, your product will last for many years to come. Along with careful cleaning, we recommend applying one or two coats of quality cutting board oil or food-grade mineral oil to care for your wood items. This will not only restore your products but prevent warping, staining or cracking. Do not be tempted to use cooking oils as they will sour over time.
HOW TO CLEAN
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe clean any dirt or residual matter. When further cleaning is required, gently wash by hand using a non-abrasive cloth, warm water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, never soaking the product. Dry as soon as the product is wet with a clean cloth or paper towel and allow to air dry in a well-ventilated area. You will notice the colour of your product become lighter as it dries.
HOW TO CARE
We believe in keeping the care of our timber products as natural as they are. We use a food-safe oil consisting of linseed oil, lime, clove and nutmeg. Using a clean cloth, apply the oil to the whole wood surface, allowing it to sit for approximately thirty (30) minutes. Using a dry, soft cloth, wipe off the excess oil so that it has an even look across the timber grain and allow to dry thoroughly before storing.
HOW TO STORE
Keep your wood products in locations where there is adequate air circulation, avoiding extreme conditions such as excessive dry heat and direct, harsh sunlight.
